Google Business Listings are a great way to promote your business and reach potential customers. However, there may come a time when you need to close your listing permanently. This guide will provide you with the steps necessary to do so in English.
First, you will need to log into your Google My Business account. Once logged in, select the listing that you would like to close permanently. On the left-hand side of the page, click on “Info” and then select “Close this Listing” from the drop-down menu.
You will then be asked to provide a reason for closing your listing. Select one of the options provided or enter a custom reason in the text box provided. Once you have selected or entered your reason for closing, click “Continue” at the bottom of the page.
The next step is to confirm that you want to close your listing permanently. You will be asked if you are sure that you want to close it and if so, click “Yes” at the bottom of the page.
Once you have confirmed that you want to close your listing permanently, Google will ask if there is anything else they can do for you before closing it. If not, click “No” at the bottom of the page and then click “Submit” at the top right corner of the page.
Your Google Business Listing is now closed permanently! You can always reopen it later if needed by following these same steps but selecting “Reopen this Listing” instead of “Close this Listing” from the drop-down menu on step two above.
It is important to note that once a Google Business Listing has been closed permanently, all reviews associated with it will also be removed from Google Maps and other search engine results pages (SERPs). Additionally, any photos or videos associated with it will also be removed from SERPs as well as any other websites where they may have been shared or embedded in content such as blog posts or articles.
Closing a Google Business Listing can be an effective way to remove outdated information about your business from SERPs and other websites where it may have been shared or embedded in content such as blog posts or articles. It is important to remember though that once closed, all reviews associated with it will also be removed from SERPs as well as any photos or videos associated with it too!
