If you are a business owner, you may have heard of Google My Business (GMB). GMB is a free tool that allows businesses to manage their online presence across Google, including Search and Maps. One of the most important aspects of GMB is the ability to create a business profile. This profile includes important information about your business, such as contact information, hours of operation, and more.
But what if you need to find your Google Business Profile ID? This article will explain how to do just that.
What is a Google Business Profile ID?
A Google Business Profile ID is a unique identifier for your business profile on GMB. It is used by Google to identify your business when it appears in search results or on Maps. Your profile ID can be found in the URL of your GMB dashboard or in the HTML code of your website.
How to Find Your Google Business Profile ID
There are two ways to find your Google Business Profile ID: through the URL of your GMB dashboard or through the HTML code of your website.
Finding Your Profile ID Through Your GMB Dashboard URL
The easiest way to find your profile ID is through the URL of your GMB dashboard. To do this, simply log into your account and click on “Manage Location” at the top right corner of the page. This will take you to a page with all of your locations listed. Click on one of them and then look at the URL in the address bar at the top of the page. The last part of this URL will be something like “/business/[your-profile-id]” – this is your profile ID!
Finding Your Profile ID Through Your Website HTML Code
If you don’t have access to your GMB dashboard, you can also find your profile ID by looking at the HTML code for any page on your website that has been verified with GMB. To do this, open up any page on your website in a web browser and then right-click anywhere on it and select “View Page Source” (or something similar depending on which browser you are using). This will open up a new window with all of the HTML code for that page – look for a line that says “ – this is also your profile ID!
Using Your Profile ID
Once you have found your profile ID, there are several things you can do with it:
• You can use it to link other websites or social media accounts to GMB so they appear in search results alongside other verified listings for businesses like yours; • You can use it as part of an API call when integrating with third party services; • You can use it as part of an SEO strategy by including it in meta tags or structured data markup; • And more! No matter what you decide to do with it, having access to and understanding how to use your Google Business Profile ID can be very helpful when managing and optimizing for local search visibility.
